Happiness

Remember You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown? There’s this one song called “Happiness (is..)”  The first line is “Happiness is finding a pencil.”  I’ve been thinking about that all day.  Things’ve been going not-so-swell… Had some good news this morning, and had something really horrible happen this afternoon (remember The Bad Thing?? yeah. It’s like that).  I wonder if I’ll ever be happy, if I’m capable of being happy.  I wonder if I’ll ever be happy with whatever job I have.  I wonder what’s wrong with me that I can’t just get my act together on some things.  *sigh*
